On April 27 2018, two former political rivals joined together to host a Leadership Salon to encourage people to consider elected public office.
This inaugural event was hosted by Bradley Shende of the BC Green Party and Sam Sullivan of the BC Liberal Party and included presentations from people across the political spectrum.
Special thanks to the Terminal City Club and the Global Civic Policy Society for their support.
Please note that the Public Office Project focuses more on issues related to ‘becoming’ a public official. The Summer Institute for Future Legislators operated by Professor Max Cameron and UBC Political Science is more about issues related to ‘being’ a public official. We thank them for their advice and the work they do to encourage excellence in governance and highly recommend their program.
